Auction Industry:Since the 70s Martin has conducted auctions of homes for entry level to luxury, multi- parcel resort condos from Florida to Colorado, Farms & Ranches, Retail, Office, Industrial, Development Land and Hybrid such as Operating Golf Courses, Mortgage Paper and Timeshares. He knows how to assemble the team, determine the target market, effectively and efficiently hit the target, determine the value range, create buyer acceptance, choose the market strategy, negotiate and close. He knows how to negotiate with a crowd and is an effective bid caller (auctioneer). Martin began as a real estate, farm machinery and cattle auctioneer in South Dakota in 1973. He has been a part of the industry development and lectures to professionals on how to conduct successful auctions of real estate.

Real Estate Industry:Active in real estate since 1973; Licensed in 1977 and Broker licensed in 1979. In his first year in real estate, he had 42 listings sold and sold 40 properties in a small farming community of Watertown SD. Martin is experienced in taking an owner’s property; determine the client motivation, target a closing date, harnessing the market, and closing the transaction within the time chosen.

Trade Industry:Martin is experienced in trade when cash is limited, taxes need to be deferred (1031), or buyers are limited. He has business relationships to conduct international trade, structured trade finance and offset. He has transacted real estate and services through the use of Trade Currency (Barter). Martin has traded for medical and dental services, autos, planes, real estate and real estate mortgages. As a child, he watched his father trade/barter eggs, milk, and potatoes from the farm for Cheerios.

Charity Industry:As a fund raising auctioneer, Martin just completed an auction for the Scottsdale Boys and Girls Club doubling the amount raised over last year in a down economy. Martin has a correspondent partner specializing in charitable donation of assets when the benefits are right for the owner.

Trade Finance:Martin has experience in funding transactions using underperforming assets along with some cash to fund or acquire properties.

Agent/Client Consulting:On a fee basis or participation, Martin offers his counseling, his expertise and brainstorming abilities to assist clients and or their agents on a specific case by case basis.

Business Development & Minority Business Development Enterprises: Martin assisted in job creation for struggling companies relocating from high operating costs area to lower operating cost areas in the 80s. Martin represented an association of 185 Native American Tribes with the international marketing of agricultural resources created on the reservations; such as beef, bison, salmon, berries, olives, citrus, and even reindeer.
